What Laura wore next: Walkin' ‘round London town
I thought I’d do a quick outfit post this morning, as I wanted to share the outfit I wore on my visit to London at the weekend. I spent the day up there with one of my lovely friends, who I bribed with the promise of wine to take some photos of me during our walk along the River Thames!
The hat is another one by Christys’ (thanks Fearnhurst PR!) and after wearing it for most of the weekend- I have...
What Laura wants: River Island SS12
Last week, I went (window) shopping in Bluewater and was walking past River Island when something caught my eye. Now, I rarely go into River Island and haven’t been in to one of their stores in a while, so I went in just out of curiosity to have a look at the blazer that had caught my eye. Later that evening, I found myself browsing round on their website and was pleasantly surprised with what I...

What Laura wore next: Wherever I lay my hat,...
Another outfit post! I promise I won’t be doing these types of posts all the time, but I just wanted to share my outfit I decided to wear today. I’m wearing another hat from Christys’ which, I think may be my favourite one – I love the cute feather detail on the trim! This Trilby is from their ‘Crown’ collection which is a fairly new collection for Christys’ and has been designed to offer a range...

What Laura wore next: You can leave your hat on
Last week, I visited the lovely Janine at Fearnhurst PR to have a snoop around their new office and showroom. One of their clients is Christys’ who are known for their lovely hats they have been making for over 200 years. Their designs were showcased in the AW11 shows of designers including Paul Smith, Kenzo and Margaret Howell. They have celebrity fans that include Kate Moss, Justin...
Golden Girls
It’s that time of year again and as the Golden Globes kicks off the awards season I found myself staying up later than normal with a cup of lemsip (I’m still bloody poorly) to watch the red-carpet live on TV. Then, this morning, I looked over the photos from the red carpet at the dresses I can only dream of wearing.
Honestly, I was hoping for a moment of shock and awe, but to my surprise I didn’t...
Oh I do like to be beside the seaside
Back In September, I was watching the Mulberry SS12 during London Fashion Week and noticed a very strong ‘British seaside’ theme to the show. That then got me thinking about their ad campaign and where they would shoot it. As a born and bred Brighton girl, I was hoping they would choose the lovely and very British beaches of Brighton and I was very happy when they did!
Mulberry’s creative...

Chanel SS12 Advertising Campaign
I first noticed these beautiful shots in the February issue of ELLE magazine. This is one of my favourite campaigns for SS12 *and* that Chanel has ever produced. Shot at Hôtel du Cap-Eden-Roc in Antibes, France by Karl Lagerfeld, this absolutely breath-taking campaign features Saskia de Brauw and Joan Smalls. See below for a few of the shots from the campaign.
Paper & Chain
You may have seen my Christmas post on this exciting new jewellery brand, Paper & Chain but, since then I have actually purchased one of their stunning designs as a Christmas present to myself so I thought I would share!
I found it very difficult to choose which necklace to go for, as I want all of them! But in the end I went for the Hex Trio Necklace which cost a very reasonable £18! I’ve...
Looking back on 2011, I realised that a few goals I set out to achieve have not happened. However, one of the best things has been starting my blog. I set out to use it as a place where I could express my love and inspiration of all things ‘Fashion’ and to also keep a journal of all the amazing things I have done this year. Then, when unemployment hit in the summer, I started to use...
